The folks at Cut Your Wolf Loose in Brighton has collaborated with a host of whisky makers, talented street artists, and hardcore whisky lovers to create its own indie bottling line. This is its second ever release, a seven-year-old single malt from Aberfeldy, distilled in 2014, matured in a single refill hogshead, and bottled in 2021 with artwork from Tom Blackford on the label. A release of 266 bottles.
Buttery layers of shortbread and sponge cake are joined by bread dough, fruit-laden pastries, and milky coffee.
Layers of runny honey and syrupy flapjack are backed by biscuity malt, and a touch of woody oaken spice.
Rich, roasted malt lingers with toffee and a touch of pepper.
