Boatyard Vodka

An Irish vodka from the Boatyard range, made with Irish wheat. The Boatyard team are heavily invested in ensuring they get their hands on the best ingredients, to the point that they can even trace back which farmer supplied the wheat from each bottle. The don't filter the spirit, leaving the flavour profile and mouth feel to come completely from the distillation (which occurs in a still charmingly named Mr. Fusion).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Soft vanilla and white pepper, with a touch of cut grass. Subtly oily.

Reviews for Boatyard Vodka
Deep and has whiskey notes
A very unique taste palette to this small batch vodka. If I was blindfolded I would would be fooled that it was whiskey, at least with slimline tonic as the mixer. Definitely more suited to a neat drinking or to enhance a mixer/cocktail. Definitely not something a typical vodka drinker would appreciate.

Genuine vodka drinkers avoid
O dear. Sorry this vodka was so not a vodka I could drink. It had an initial smell followed by what I could only describe as a mild rum flavour. Almost tasted a mild Bacardi and as someone who doesn’t like Bacardi an unwelcome flavour
Just opened the bottle will be giving it away could not drink it and as a Fermanagh person I wanted to love it

Sorry did not like this at all
Terrible after taste and not smooth. Much better options out there. Was very disappointed. Try Ballykeefe or Sausage tree.

Delicious & Characterful
This is one of the few vodkas that has ever turned my head and made me think, wow! Texturally this is rich and creamy. It has notes of freshly baked sour dough, cocao nib and even some fresh coconut. Loveley stuff!

An outstanding characterful vodka with wonderful mouthfeel and character.
One of the best spirits I've tasted, the mouthfeel, distinct character and brilliance of balance is unmistakable. Vodka wouldn't be my usual choice, and this definitely isn't for Smirnoff drinkers or for mixing with cheap sugary mixers. Makes the most wonderful Martini.

A true vodka, not a factory product
One of the finest things I’ve ever drink. It’s not for Smirnoff drinkers, I’ll grant you, it’s for those who like their vodka with a distinct taste and mouthfeel, to really experience the grain. Only a well crafted product made from grain to glass can deliver that. Would drink this neat.
