VIVIR Tequila Reposado 70cl

I love all of Vivir's tequila, but their reposado is my favourite. I agree with the other comments around hints of vanilla, and I personally think it works. I went to a presentation by one of their founders and they explained their aging process in JD casks with no additives and vanilla actually grows near their own agave fields. I also love Ocho and and remember a similar experience with one of their expressions where the agave was grown near mangos fields, and you could strongly taste the mango. For me it shows the authenticity of the final product. Love it and love the passion.

Bought this at a supermarket as I wanted some tequila and seemed to be the best available. As someone else has pointed out, it has a vanilla flavour which overpowers the agave (which is the taste you're looking for in a tequila, right?). It's perfectly drinkable but feels like a half way drink between tequila and bourbon. Possibly a good gateway for people looking to get into tequila.

At last I have found a tequila that you can enjoy naked, so to speak, no lime or salt, just tequila (clothes optional;-)). Honestly, it is the best tequila I have ever tasted. I love the smoothness and
creaminess of it, which is possibly from the hint of vanilla. It's wonderfully refreshing straight from the fridge.

I adore this reposado, it’s fantastic. But please bring back you anejo, it’s the best tequila on the market, period!

It’s smooth, but the overpowering taste is that of vanilla, not the distinctive perfumes flavour of agave that I wood look for in a well balanced reposado. Would suggest tasting the blanco.

I am no expert on spirits, I drink a lot of rum and whisky and know what I like and what I don't.

Having tried a number of tequilas over the years I was blown away by the taste, smoothness and complexity of Vivir Reposado.

Quite possibly the best tequila I've ever tasted, sweet yet pungent with an almost apple pie finish.

At the time of writing this review the product has sold out, and no wonder.
Get some as soon as you can, you won't regret it.

Love love love this tequila. You will never try a tequila with the lemon and salt you know that one, that takes away the petrol taste...nope not this beauty smooth velvety I got a hint of vanilla keep in you mouth longer to get the true flavour. Just ordered my 5th bottle this year love it

Tried this in a random bar in Manchester just after lockdown. I thought it looked cool and had never liked tequila before. I’m now on my third bottle at home - this stuff is amazing!
