Produced by the Montezuma company, this is a gold-coloured Reposado tequila which was aged in oak for less than two months before bottling.
Light, soft nose with hints of herbs, allspice and apple peel. A little pine oil.
Spicy, agave-led palate with creamy caramel and dried herbs.
Medium finish. Some sweetness lingering.
Simple, easy-going - a definite cocktail Tequila.

I have been drinking this Montezuma gold for years and always loved it until now. It has a weird taste almost like perfume in it. Couldn’t drink it.
We have always enjoyed this tequila until the last bottle we purchased. I do not know what changed but if tequila can go bad this is what it would taste like. It even smelled weird!
Terrible
It's OK, you can't be nitpicker for this price. In a cocktail you couldn't tell a difference between this and a 100% pure agave tequila. Good, cheap and easy going.
This Montezuma Gold is the absolute WORST tequila I have ever tasted. Taste is full of false sweetness and, could it be?...liquid smoke. Not bottom shelf. Not good enough for that.
