The Sassenach Select is a limited edition Tequila, a collaboration between El Tequileño's master distiller, António Salles, and founder of Sassenach Spirits, Sam Heughan. Copper pot distilled 100% agave Tequila has been matured in American and French oak to make this double wood reposado expression, a treat for agave fans and Heughligans alike.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Cooked agave has taken on creamy, vanilla notes, along with rich oak character, spice, and distant smoke.

Definitely worth investing in a bottle
I haven’t tried many tequila’s this is my third and my favourite…..It’s definitely a sipping tequila and just so easy to drink on it’s own or in a refreshing margarita.

The Sassenach Select - A masterful creation
I think what sets this tequila above all the others I've tasted is that it has rested in French oak for the final few months. It's delectable and as smooth as satin and the taste lingers for quite a while. This is one to be sipped slowly and enjoyed with a cheese board.

Okay, so I have never tried tequila before but as a fan of the Sassanach Whisky, I thought I would give this a try and wow it does not dissapoint! Not harsh and very easy to sip. I would definitely buy this again!
