Seedlip produce a range of non-alcoholic spirits from a selection of carefully considered botanicals, inspired by the distilled non-alcoholic remedies found in The Art of Distilling (written in 1651). Their Spice 94 expression is based around allspice, cardamom, grapefruit, lemon and oak - their recommended serve is:
50ml Seedlip Spice 94
125ml Tonic Water
Serve over ice with a red grapefruit twist
Warming (almost Christmas-y) notes of nutmeg and clove, with a balancing sweetness of fresh citrus.
I was very disappointed with this drink. I give this product 1 year before it’s removed from retailers.
I tried this in a non alcoholic cocktail- lychee, kaffir lime leaves, solo and Seedlip spice 94. I look forward to trying SS94 in a classic - eg Cosmo or Bloody Mary. A bit price but then a good gin isn't cheap!
Dreadful
We bought this for my mother in law as a birthday present I didn't expect much but what I didn't expect is to pay £26 per bottle and have flavoured water the only thing I can taste it is cardamom with water . My advise it will be buy cardamom add it to water leave it for few days and voila you probably saved yourself £24 .
Ok, you have Tanqueray Number 10... Generally considered one of the best gins ever made. Multiple winner of the San Francisco Spirits Competition, bottled at 47.3%. They are taxed - heavily, due to the alcohol content of their product. Then you have these jokers. Been around 5 minutes, won nothing of note, produce weakly flavoured water, pay next to no tax and sell it for EXACTLY the same price per ml as a legendary product. I have literally no words to describe how ridiculous this is.
