Kumesen G.E.M 2001

Kumesen G.E.M 2001 is an Awamori, a type of rice-based spirit from Okinawa which is distilled from indica rice. This particular expression is a blend of two vintage Awamori spirit and aged further in bourbon barrels. An intriguing spirit for those looking to try something different.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Fresh orange and caramel, a hint of chopped Alpine herbs and cardamom leaves.

Wow! What a great buy. Great choice. This is a beguiling, bourbon-like booze.
Wow! What a great buy. I was intrigued by the description and, after a bit of googling, I decided it was worth a punt. Great choice. This is a beguiling, bourbon-like booze (hesitate to call is a whiskey as it's not!)

Definitely worth a go. Really, really good!
