Kings County Empire Rye Bottling Note

Distilled in New York's Brooklyn by the wonderful Kings County Distillery folks, Empire Rye is, rather predictably, made predominantly rye. With a mash bill of 80% New York-grown Danko rye and 20% English malted barley, this spirit is aged in charred American oak, bringing all of those warming spices alongside some toasty cereal notes.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fragrant fresh mint, a floral touch, subtle herbs and sweet nut butter, with vanilla and chai spices galore.

Palate: Maple syrup on fresh pancakes, with cinnamon-spiced apple cake, toast and blueberry jam, crystallised ginger and peppery spice.

Finish: A spicy finish in every sense, with peppery notes supported by a bonanza of baking spice.
