Hailing from New York's Kings County distillery, a rye whiskey from a new, charred American oak barrel, joins the Forgotten Gems ranks! With an elegant balance of sweetness and spice, bold oak, honeyed rye bread, and toffee it's an impressively moreish sipper. A release of 116 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Robust oak with notes of cigar box spice, thick toffee, burnt brown sugar, and cedar spice, with toasted vanilla and rye crackers in tow.
Palate
Sweet, silky caramel and drying woody spice open the way for honeyed rye bread, blueberry muffins, and elegant oak char.
Finish
A delicate balance of sweetness and spice, with bold oak, toffee, vanilla, and subtly herbaceous rye.
