Bourbon Bourbon

Bourbon Bourbon binds the brilliance of bourbon and bourbon biscuits beautifully. Triumphs of alliteration aside, this fantastic expression features Kentucky bourbon infused with actual, full-on, real bourbon biscuits, and blended with dark chocolate and vanilla to accentuate those familiar flavours from the eponymous biscuits (and you could say they appear in the eponymous bourbon too, I suppose). Wonderfully satisfying sipped neat, and more than capable of putting a chocolatey twist on classic cocktails, like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Not only is it tasty, it's also a great example of a heteronym! Bonus.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Earthy vanilla and runny caramel, with a core of chocolate ganache underneath. There's still plenty of oaky spices and buttery notes from the bourbon coming through.

Palate Cacao, another helping of authentic vanilla, a hint of orange developing shortly joined by malt and more chocolate.

Finish Bourbon biscuit sweetness on the finish, with a touch of buttered corn and toasted oak.

Overall There's clearly a focus on the chocolatey, biscuity notes, but the bourbon's character is never obscured and remains integral to the fantastic flavour profile.

A must have for the drinks cupboard.
Love this, bought when on offer as a bit of an impulse buy. The vanilla & chocolate comes through which does give it a slightly sweet taste, but not is not overpowering. Makes an amazing Old Fashioned cocktail. Have friends queuing up to come and try this, guess this is going to be reordered soon.

So good...
Beautiful nose and just gorgeous on the taste buds. This stuff is delicious, slightly sweet on the after taste but I'm not knocking it; I'm in love.
P.S. It goes very well with tiramisu :)

Sweet bourbon liqueur
I’m not a massive fan of bourbon but I enjoyed this. The bourbon biscuit taste is quite subtle but you can definitely taste the sweetness of vanilla/chocolate which makes it very drinkable.

Disappointing, just a sweet sugary rum
I don't have a sensitive palate but to me this just tasted like a sweet rum. There was a hint of chocolate but for me I was left wondering if they were using the same bourbon biscuit that I can buy in the supermarket. Disappointing.
