Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn Spirit

(50cl, 0%)

Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn

Bax Botanics Buckthorn Bottling Note

A non-alcoholic spirit from Yorkshire's Bax Botanics, founded by husband and wife duo. Sea Buckthorn takes the eponymous berry and distils it alongside herbs and Seville orange. With absolutely no sugar added, the spirit boasts a complex and satisfyingly bittersweet fruity profile. The label shows a rather stunning ultra-magnified microscopic photo of plant cells, while the label itself is also derived from waste sugar cane. Garnish this one with a ribbon of orange peel.

40ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn

Fresh blackberries

Fresh raspberries

10ml Fresh lime juice

2 Teaspoons of soft brown sugar

Fresh mint

Dried Orange

80ml VINADA Amazing Airén Gold

First up, pour the Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn into a glass along with a few raspberries, blackberries, and mint. Add the lime juice and sugar, and gently muddle the ingredients together, before gradually adding ice to the glass. Slide the orange into the side of the glass for garnish, and fill with ice to the top of the glass. Finally, pour in the VINADA Amazing Airén Gold, garnish with a sprig of mint and some berries, and hey presto, it's ready to drink!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

A wonderful option
A wonderful option, whether avoiding alcohol or not. Aromatic without being medicinal. Serve with tonic and a twist of orange zest.

Really recommend it.
I love it, not very good at describing taste but it is warming but crisp and clean. I drink it with tonic and it makes a lovely drink if you want to be alcohol free.

This is a brilliant drink, its so complex and satisfying. The intensity of the flavours are fantastic, i'm always amazed that its actually alcohol free! I usually have it with a tonic however its also worked well as a cocktail base.
