One of two Cold-Infused, Cold-Distilled Coffee in this batch made with beans from the Yirgacheffe district of Ethiopia. However, this one have been made with Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelba Washed, resulting in a distinctive flavour profile highlighted by citrus and pudding-like notes throughout.
The Batshit Mental Ideas Cold-Infused, Cold-Distilled Coffees are made by roasting, cold-macerating and cold-distilling the beans in a short amount of time, which preserves the higher acidic compounds that make freshly-roasted, fresh-ground coffee taste phenomenal. Very exciting stuff if you love coffee and want to experience it in a new, slightly bonkers way.
Nose: Sweet pastry, fragrant and biscuity coffee grounds, foam bananas, lemon curd and sweeter citrus notes.
Palate: Banoffee pie and tiramisu with grapefruit hints.
Finish: Tiramisu and lavender.
Overall: Sweet and citrussy.
