In case you couldn’t tell from the name or rather nautical packaging, Watson’s Trawler Rum is a Navy style dark rum, marrying spirits from Barbados and Guyana. The rums have been aged in their countries of origin, before they’re blended together in the UK. A great mixing tipple that should do very well with ginger beer and a good wedge of lime.
Thick, tarry molasses notes on the nose. This also offers up cinnamon and dates.
Coffee beans, spice and dark treacle. A rich, thick, slightly spirity palate.
Develops on oak and fragrant woods.

I have been drinking this rum for more than 50 years, need i say more?
For the cost, I was expecting something halfway between cough syrup and paint thinner, but it is actually a decent product. Possibly a little too harsh for most if drunk neat, but with the right mixers (and coke & lime is good enough), this is pretty good. I'm not a connoisseur when it comes to rum, but I felt it was similar to Lamb's Navy Rum, possibly not quite as flavoursome, but getting there.
S awfa gid.
Surprising Mild nose. Dark toffee colouring and alcohol heat give way to some sweetness. Definitely one for cocktails
What can I say it's the best rum money can buy . The order took less than 24 hours and it was on my door step , great service . Cheers
