26 year old rum from Uitvlugt's Port Mourant still. The distillery has since sadly closed, though indie bottlers like That Boutique-y Rum Company somehow manage to get their hands on rare rums like this for enthusiasts. Rich, pungent mango and pineapple balance beautifully with the clear oak influence. There’s liquorice notes too, and even a hint of coffee in with the vanilla.
Dark chocolate comes through with the pineapple and papaya. The spirit itself is dense and mouth-filling, oozing with toasted banana bread, star anise and even honeysuckle.
Long, lively and deliciously oily.

Ok with a mixer but at that price it shouldn't need one. O.V.D. is much better
On the nose: mature port mourant. On the palate: mellow port mourant followed by heavy bitter oak. Blended it with young port mourant to bring it up to scratch.
