This rum was distilled in Guyana in 1999 and filled into a single bourbon barrel to mature, resting in the warm Guyanese climate until 2002 when it made its journey to the UK. Its maturation didn't stop there though, the rum remained in cask until 2023, when it was independently bottled for the Wild Parrot collection.
