A light, mellow rum. In terms of its alcohol hit it leaves a tingle on the tongue and then a slight, increasing burn on the aftertaste and swallow. Beautiful, sweet, burnt hazelnut and vanilla notes makes this one to savour. Mixing this with coke etc would ruin its subtle flavour. Over ice is fine but for me the best way to drink this is neat. I'm finishing one off right now in order to get my review accurate. Lovely!
Got this for a birthday present and it's absolutely stunning, drunk neat over ice or mixed with Cherry coke, doesn't matter and the nuttyness still comes through.
On the palate this rum is both delicious and sweet, thanks to the roasted hazelnut flavouring, with an alcohol burn that I would describe as mellow. Unfortunately, that scrumptious taste I am eluding to, is somewhat conspicuous by its absence in the finish and for that matter, albeit to a lesser degree when mixed with Coca-Cola. So, bar it’s weird aroma, and the lack of taste in said finish, there is still plenty to like about this rum, especially for a rum enthusiast like myself, who prefers his rums flavoured, and the sweeter the better.
Received it as a random Christmas gift from my partner since I normally drink rum and coke, but this one is not for spoiling as a mixer. Just add some ice. Perfection! I will definitely buy it again but also willing to try others with different flavours. :D
Very nice over ice. Tastes like a mix of hazelnuts and vanilla essence. Will definitely buy again.
