A secretive and sublime rum here from the Dominican Republic, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Rum Company. It was allowed five years of maturation in the Dominican Republic, before it made its way over to the UK, where it was finished in ex-Madeira casks, then bottled up at 53.2% ABV. Wonderful stuff, and mysterious too...
Plum, peach, red liquorice, a hint of tangy lemon, cut grass, and dark chocolate.
Treacle tarts, more citrus, raspberry, heavy vanilla.
Dried fruit by the bucket-load, with a hint of almond and oily walnut.
