
Hailing from an undisclosed distillery on the island of Mauritius, this impressive column still rum joins the collection from That Boutique-y Rum Company. Distilled from molasses, the rum rested for 11 years in a bourbon cask before bottling. A superb find for all the rum explorers out there.
Batch 1 is a release of 370 bottles.
A touch of wood polish leads, with ripe banana, sweet, tropical fruit, and creamy melted chocolate in tow.
Sweet summer fruits and zesty citrus dominate, with notes of allspice developing in the depths.
The citrus lingers with candied orange peels joined by tangy layers of lime, apricot, and dates, backed by elegant oak char and savoury spice.
