This is a great rum, really excellent. Super strong of course, but is fantastic as a sipping rum - full of flavour.

Very much a 'young gun'. With all that alcohol you are also getting body, flavour and kick. Can very easily be sipped neat if you are well practised! 2/3 rum to 1/3 distilled water is perfect imho.
yes it's dynamite you don't need to drink it pour a small measure into a glass, swill rum around glass for a couple of seconds then poor rum back into bottle then drink the fumes. you wont be let down and it will last a lot longer. seriously though, I have gun powder rum as well here at home and tell you the truth, I found hardly any difference between them, there both very powerful dark rums, both pack big flavours and strong fumes with lots of burnt toffee, caramel notes
