Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Citrus, kiwi and the unmistakable funkiness of pineapple, with underlying toasted brown sugar and a touch of mint.

Palate Again, bright fruit notes sit up front on the palate, though now hints of cinnamon and allspice bring a warming touch to the proceedings.

Finish Upside-down cake, runny honey, and a crack of peppercorn.

Overall A cracking flavour combo, with enough of the rum's flavour profile shining through the vibrant pineapple elements.

Very good
I've been wanting to try this for a while now as well as the black cherry one and was not disappointed. Had a tiny taster today on arrival and you could taste the pineapple but not too overpowering. No real afterburn despite 42%. Plus they deliver in this inflatable packaging which is solid and means very little chance of damage. Excellent throughout. Thank you.

Disappointing compared to other #173 flavours
First project #173 rum I’ve been disappointed with. Liked the coffee, loved the smoked chilli and the banana but not keen on this. I didn’t get much of a pineapple taste or smell, just a slightly burnt unpleasant aftertaste. Hopefully it will taste better with a mixer or in a cocktail.

Delicious!
Bought this for a friend. I'm not a fan of rum but she asked me to try it - it is delicious. Had it with Coke, as a long drink and it was lovely. Very refreshing and you definitely get the pineapple taste.

Very smooth but it’s a creeper!
Project 173 rums represent sheer happiness. The pineapple and the banana are my favourites. My only negative is that the bottle is only 50 cl - needs to be rectified. It disappears too quickly!!

Smooth on its own
Bought this rum in my last order, oh my oh my , it was absolutely lovely. It went down so smooth, no need to add mixers just perfect on its own as shots. I’m getting this again for Xmas.
