Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Mocha, chocolate-coated peanuts and dates, with a hint of cinnamon.

Palate Enjoyably dark chocolate bitterness, softened by honey, red apple and lemongrass.

Finish Lasting chocolatey richness on the finish.

Overall The chocolate notes here aren't overpoweringly sweet, though they're certainly not shy either.

Absolutely lovely
Buying chocolate rum as a birthday present was a bit of a gamble but it really paid off. Smooth, rich, incredibly chocolatey and very slightly smokey, completely delicious. We'll be back for more.

One of the best
This has to be one of thebest Chocolate rums i have had!
I have tried a few i put it on pair with the beautiful notes of Lucela's. No burn, not chemical after taste the perfect sipping beverage either on its own or with a Zero Coke. Lovely notes of vanilla and dark chocolate

Artificial taste
I bought it 3 years ago first time,it were amazing. Well now in 2023 it's horrible, never ever again! Absolutely artificial and awful! Do not waist your money on any of that rums,buy just real like Diplomatico or similar! Big shame for the brand!

Fantastic stuff
The 42% comes through - it is punchy and definitely a sipping drink (for god's sake don't neck it), not oversweet. Big chocolate flavour.

In addition to being enjoyable neat, it makes an excellent addition to chocolate sorbet.

Really great flavour
Absolutely gorgeous and very tasty rum, perfect in a mudslide, with a dash of cola or on the rocks. This is my 2nd bottle and I'm certain there'll be more!

Disappointed
I was a bit disappointed to be honest, not chocolatey enough, bit wishy washy. I won't buy again.

Chocolatey goodness.
Preferred this to the butterscotch variant as it's not as sweet, and therefore more drinkable for longer during an evening. Lovely chocolate hit that doesnt overpower the rum.
