Let it be known throughout the land that the illustrious O Reizinho Distillery, under the watchful gaze of the That Boutique-y Rum Company, has bestowed upon us a majestic libation. An Agricole rum from the sun-kissed realms of Madeira, a spirit nurtured by the finest sugarcane juice.
This elixir spent nine months on-site at O Reizinho basking in a cask that once cradled the nectar of Madeira fortified wine before being shipped to the UK to be bottled by Boutique-y — a true union of noble lineage.
Gaze upon the label, adorned with the visage of our beloved Funky Olive King, who reigns supreme over all Boutique-y/O Reizinho bottlings. In this edition, he's been graced with the Midas touch, reflecting the golden hue of this rested spirit
Batch 4 is a release of 432 bottles.
A welcoming wave of green olive brine leads, with plantain and honeydew melon in tow. There are floral notes of lychee and fragrant cardamom spice.
Iced vanilla biscuits, maple syrup, and jammy stone fruits are followed by sweet raisins and toasted nuts.
Vanilla and praline trail off as elegant oak and a touch of tobacco join a pinch of peppercorn warmth.
