An exquisite Dominican rum from Kirk & Sweeney, which takes its name from a Prohibition era smuggling ship, most notably known for smuggling rum! Gran Reserva Superior focuses on decadent endnotes, and it certainly is a tremendous sipping rum.
Rich sherried dates and raisins, complex with dried oak, vanilla, toasted nuts and dark caramel.
Received this as a Christmas present. Never tried it, or even heard of it before. What a fabulous surprise. A very smooth rum to drink. Lovely after taste. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be buying again.
