From Jah45 comes a punchy Overproof expression, made from a blend of column still rum from Clarendon and pot still rums from the Hampden, Monymusk and New Yarmouth distilleries. The unaged rum is bottled at a 63% ABV, the higher strength ideal for cocktails and the like.
Amplified grassy notes with underripe apple, a sprinkle of brown sugar, and caramelised nuts.
Probably the nicest overproof rum i've tasted, really smooth, goes well as the main ingredient in a zombie as well, welcomed change from that of wray & nephews which would of been my go to rum.
