An impressive blend of pot and column still rum from Foursquare, Plenipotenziario is the sixth collaboration between the Barbados distillery and indie bottler Velier. It spent its 12 years of ageing in bourbon barrels, with an outturn of 6,000 limited bottles at a burly 60% ABV.
Buttery vanilla, with white chocolate and dusty cocoa, leading into cigar box, ripe banana and building chilli heat. Notes of anise linger alongside orange oil and black pepper.
