Single cask rum distilled at Savanna Distillery in Réunion. An agricole style rum, distilled on an continuous still and tropically matured for three years in a red wine cask. The nine year old rum finished the rest of its maturation in Scotland, where it spent 75 days finishing in a Spanish oak palo cortado sherry quarter cask. A limited outturn of 189 bottles of this one joins the Elizabeth Yard range.
Plenty of warm spices, with toasted oak, dried red berries, dark chocolate, and some candied orange peel.
