Caroni 24 Year Old - Batch 8 (That Boutique-y Rum Company)
An exceptional bottling from That Boutique-y Rum Company of rum from the sadly closed Caroni Distillery. This is a HTR marque expression, matured for 24 years before the Boutique-y bunch bottled it up for the Boutique-y Records series (hence why there's a rave happening in the abandoned Caroni warehouse on the label...). This'll undoubtedly be ace.
Batch 8 is a release of 332 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Juicy cherry and jammy sultana, with dark chocolate and a hint of earthy richness.
Palate
Heavy treacle, pineapple, a subtle savoury touch developing later on.
Finish
Oak lingers alongside dried fruit sweetness.
