Created by Autentico Nativo master blenders Don Pancho Fernandez & Eduardo Perez, Nativo’s Overproof is a unique Panamanian rum. It’s made from a blend of 8 year old rums produced in copper column-stills, then aged in ex-bourbon casks and macerated with locally sourced chocolate, bottled at 54% ABV. Sip neat or in a cocktail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Aromas of chocolate, toffee, vanilla and dark fruits leading to notes of chocolate, sweet, toffee, molasses, dried black figs, oak char, vanilla, tobacco and cinnamon on the palate. Strong and intense.

Very choco rum !

Excellent overproof Navy style rum.

A lovely rum that's very easy to sip neat and without any ice. I will certainly buy this again. I can't comment on how well it works in cocktails etc. as I only every drink my rums neat.

Interestingly smooth, despite the 54% ABV.

An excellent Navy Strength (54%) Rum. Really smooth, considering its' ABV and quite good as a sipping drink. I can't say how it might perform in cocktails as I only ever drink spirits neat, not even adding a dash of water or ice. If I want to chill a drink, I keep tungsten carbide bearings in the freezer. Although these aren't cheap, one bearing works as well or better than several so called "steel whiskey stones".

This is one of the most unique rums I’ve ever tasted. Well worth it.
