If you don't know what an arcanist is, it's someone who possesses a secret method to making something... And now it's got a rum named after it! Arcanist Pineapple Rum is made with a base of Guyanese rum, which is shipped over to Kent and treated to a generous dose of pineapple and a handful of spices too. We can't tell you which ones, though – you'll have to have a taste to figure that out!
Notes of anise, brown sugar, and heaps of ripe pineapple, leading into a peppery finish.

Absolutely delicious. Smooth, perfect balance of spice, hints of caramel and pineapple. Not overly sweet. I love it neat, but shines in cocktails too. After tasting an Arcanist espresso rumtini, I'm never going back to a classic espresso martini. Love the bottle, such a sophisticated look. The new darling in my home bar.
A versatile rum which I've found to be perfect either on its own, mixed simply with a good quality ginger ale and even in cocktails. I've experimented with my take on a negroni and also an espresso martini and now my friends all want to know the recipe! Neither, too 'pineappley', nor too sweet this is my go to flavoured rum!
Lovely bottle, and not a bad rum. I ended up mixing it, as I found it far too sweet to sip neat. Very heavy pineapple flavour, which is nice at first, but became too overpowering for a sipping session. I wouldn’t buy it again however, just because personal preference would be to sip, not mix.
This Rum is way too sweet and insistent to work in cocktails…I really have tried! The dryness of Plantations Stiggin’s Fancy is a much better bet, but this one is a sipping rum only. Fantastic bottle mind.
I don’t drink a lot of rums but thought this one was possibly my favourite so far. I liked it neat on ice, sweet pineapple almost liqueur like to start, finishing with warm spices and caramel/vanilla flavour.
