Knockeen Hills Irish Poteen Farmer's Strength
Irish Poteen or Poitín was outlawed in Ireland in the 17th century and it was only in the late 1990s that this finally changed. Often thought of as 'Irish moonshine' it can be made from grain or potatoes but Knockeen Hills are unique in using whey for their spirit.
This 60% 'Farmer's Strength' release is triple distilled and scored 92 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Sweet vanilla aromas up front as well as fruit salad and a hint of marzipan.
