A 50cl bottle of Knockeen Hills' Irish Poteen Farmer's Strength, which is interestingly made using whey (instead of the more common grain or potato) and has been bottled at a generous 60% ABV. This particular expression scored and impressive 92 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012.
Sweet vanilla aromas up front as well as fruit salad and a hint of marzipan.
Warm citrus, a little maltiness, perhaps some peppermint.
Drying. Mixed nuts.
