A delicious bourbon-based liqueur, flavoured with the finest maple syrup Canada has to offer.
We've used a very high quality bourbon as the base for the liqueur and the taste combination is just so right... the earthy, oaky spice notes of the bourbon ground the unique sweetness added by the maple syrup, which in turn accentuates the whiskey's own sweet vanilla notes. Truly delicious over ice.
Black pepper and cloves with a hint of woody caramel sweetness. Pronounced oak notes with soft vanilla custard.
Initially there's a spiced bourbon taste but the mouthfeel is so different, much softer and rounder than even the smoothest sippin' whiskey. Plenty of cinnamon and cloves with a hint of maraschino cherry. The maple syrup comes through in the middle with the sweetness building towards the finish.

Received this free with my Buffalo Trace Antique whiskies (so thanks guys!). I really enjoyed this liquer, it wasn't as sweet and cloying as I was expecting with the maple really balancing with the bourbon. On the nose it was bourbon first, and still for some time. Again bourbon on the taste until about mid-palate which the maple started to build. Finish is all the maple and very sweet. The bourbon notes as good, so I'd be interested to know what was used as the base for this? Would I buy this at just over £30 with deliever? No, it's more expensive than some very good single malts and while very nice it is not a price I could justifty.
If you like quite good bourbon and have a sweet tooth - this can be recommended
