Stratford Mulberry Bottling Note
Made at Shakespeare distillery in Stratford upon Avon, this gin-based deliciousness is made by steeping mulberries for several months in their Stratford Gin (made with English lovage, rose, lemon balm, rosemary, juniper, coriander and lemon peel). Mulberries are in fact mentioned by the bard in Coriolanus and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with Shakespeare also having planted a mulberry tree at his Stratford upon Avon home in 1609. Incredibly, the Rev Francis Gastrell is said to have cut it down in 1750 as he was sick of people wanting to see it!
