Khoosh is a revival of a 19th-century British orange bitter liqueur, created to pair especially well with Champagne, and will also stand out in any cocktails that call for orange liqueur – think Spritzes, Margaritas or Negronis. The original signature ingredient was Quassia Amara, a shrub known as 'bitterwood' and it's been used alongside other botanicals – including four citrus varietals – in the modern recipe. The result is a citrussy, bittersweet liqueur with a complex herbal character, along with layers of marmalade notes.
