Jim Beam B Cherry 32.5%

Jim Beam's Red Stag brings together the classic American whiskey and black cherry deliciousness in a tasty liqueur! This edition has been bottled at the slightly lower ABV of 32.5%, but it's still brimming with vibrant fruit notes alongside waves of vanilla and toasty spices.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Honey, tangy cherry, brown sugar, cinnamon gum, a hint of strawberry.

Reviews for Jim Beam Black Cherry (32.5%)
Why drop the ABV?
Another favourite tipple ruined. Was about to purchase until I saw this.

Too much like a soft drink Not for seasoned real bourbon drinkers..
Bought 2 bottles as it was on special offer in Tesco..I hadn't seen it n a while so I was happy..for about 5mins ...it's changed ..the alcohol content is ONLY 32.5% ,I was thinking it tasted strange before I noticed the lower alcohol..it used to be 40% and my favourite drink..kicking myself now..I couldve got a litre bottle of Jack for the same price .it tastes tacky and really sickly

Reduced strength rubbish
Nothing like the previous 40% strength Red Stag. Now tastes bland, insipid, and with no punch to it. Can't think why they would want to turn a good quality drink into this rubbish. Will never be wasting my money on another bottle.

Jim Beam Red Stag ABV changed.
Tastes like rubbish now they have dropped the ABV from 40% to 32.5%. I used to buy heaps of it but it does not have the bite it used to so it is no different to all the other generic brands you buy now. Jim Beam probably don't care but I wont be buying any more of the Red Stag now they have screwed it up.

No longer worth buying
The drop from 40% to 32.5% is noticeable for all the wrong reasons. This week be the last bottle I buy. Such a disappointment. Won't buy unless returns to 40%

Crap
The 40% red Stag was my favourite it's not until I got home and realised the strength was now 32 0.5%. The taste is now poor or I will not be buying again unless you resort it back to the original.

Change for the worse.
I noticed today that the ABV has been reduced to 32.5% from the previous 40% with no reduction in price. To me that is a blatant deception and a drop in quality. I shall never purchase another bottle unless the strength is restored. It does not have the previous "bite"
