Howler Head

Howler Head brings together Kentucky bourbon and natural banana flavour to create a fab tipple that'll be excellent sipped neat or over ice. All those familiar bourbon flavours – caramel, honey, baking spices, and the like – pair wonderfully with the estery deliciousness of banana, so no surprises there. Howler Head will also do well in fruit-forward twists on classic cocktails, like the Old Fashioned or the Manhattan... and it was awarded a gold medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Huge helpings of vanilla and banana fritter, followed by a whiff of cinnamon, with a touch of cask char developing.

Palate Ripe banana esters with a hint of banana pancake too, backed up by brown sugar, peppercorn, and toffee.

Finish Banana chips with a drizzle of honey, and a final hint of oak spiciness.

Very morish. Lovely stuff.
I am usually very fussy with liqueurs, but this stuff hit the mark. Tge banana flavour gives it a very interesting and enjoyable difference. I have enjoyed every drop.

Banana sweets in alcohol
I struggle to know if I like this or not. I’m a big fan of the banana foam sweets, and it tasted like these with a dash of alcohol. But there’s no subtlety about it. It’s a very fake chemical taste which is a bit overpowering. I liked it as a single taster, but not sure I could have a lot of it without suffering some childhood trauma. Worth it for the novelty every now and then, but not a mature session drink.

Absolutely a perfect blend and flavour.
From my first bottle 6 months ago until this last one, it is now my favourite tipple.

The blend of bourbon with the banana 🍌 is just perfect....not over powering with banana, just right.

Absolutely an amazing drink just in the rocks.

And as a mixer in a cocktail, what can I say....it add that special twist.

I love bourbons and irish whiskey, was abit apprehensive about what to expect buying this, to keep it short this was unreal, flavoursome and not sickly at all.

5 stars without a doubt.
I fully expected this to be awful. However I was forced to eat my words as this is one of the best whiskeys I have ever had.

Not too sweet and dangerously drinkable. This is my new favourite.

I have a sweet tooth so would like a little more banana taste
Very strong Bourbon with the gentle taste of Bananas. 3 bottles purchased for me and friends. They love it too
