Made using a similar mash-bill as genever (malted barley, rye and corn), Zuidam's Korenwijn is distilled not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times, resulting in a delicate, fruity palate. The Dutch distillers pair this spirit with juniper, liquorice root and aniseed, among other botanicals. This is then aged in oak for at least 12 months before being bottled up for us to enjoy its sweet, fudge-y, subtly floral notes.
