Original Manchester Gin Bottling Note

Made in Manchester using their Manchester vodka, which in turn is made with a distilled honey base, this gin is produced at the brilliantly named 'Zymurgorium' meadery, brewery and distillery. Each stoneware bottle is filled, labelled, waxed and stamped by hand.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Floral and honeyed with spice and a little herbal character.

Original Manchester Gin Reviews

Rare find

We absolutely love this gin. We went to a gin festival and it was our favourite- smooth tasty and very distinctive

Gives Manchester a Bad Name!!

As I'm from Manchester and a fan of gin, I got a bottle of this and 'Manchester Gin' - they were chalk and cheese, this tasted like it had been steeped in artificial flavours or industrial chemicals, whereas the Manchester gin had a really nice fresh taste with good balance of juniper... skip this and get the actual 'Manchester Gin' https://www.masterofmalt.com/gin/manchester-gin/manchester-gin/?srh=1

Really Really REALLY bad

Probably the worst gin I have ever had. The amount of orris root in this should be a crime. It is powdery and completely vile. what a waste of money, almost to the point where if I lived in Manchester I would be going back there and asking for a refund.

Sublime

This takes me to a place of distant memory. It’s like opening an old box in the attic and having the senses subtly affected by ancient aromas. It makes you step back and ponder for a while. I love this gin.

Vile

If I could give it zero I would, even the owner said before I tried it I wasn’t going to enjoy it. Harsh and intense spice. Avoid

Too many gins taste the same. This is one of the few to really have a unique taste of its own. Might not be for everyone, but I love it!

Unique

I thought this was wonderful. I had with 1724 tonic and really enjoyed . Will buy again .

Not one for a Gin lover.

I got this as a gift at Christmas and I would say this isn't great. It's completely over powered by cardamom to the point where it doesn't actually taste like Gin. I've tried a few different serves but nothing really helps. I'm sticking to Tanqueray.
