Chase Seville Orange Gin Bottling Note

Chase are based in Herefordshire and produce a variety of gins and vodkas using a spirit distilled from apples. Unsurprisingly this bottle of gin has a fairly hefty whack of zesty Seville Oranges thanks to a re-distillation through the zest of these citrus fruits.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Well Seville oranges feature pretty heavily without disguising the other aromas of juniper, earthy roots and a gentle herbaceous quality.

Palate: A palate tingling burst of Seville Orange skin followed by floral juniper then fresh squeezed orange juice.

Finish: The finish is long for a gin with the notes of orange oils lingering after the other botanicals fade away.

Overall: This is a curious gin that is incredibly refreshing thanks to those big citrus top notes.

Chase Seville Marmalade Gin Reviews

Not worth the hype sadly

I was a little disappointed in the flavour of this gin. I was expecting more citrus to hit my tastebuds, however this didn’t cut the mustard.

Not worth the money

No where near as good as the Tanquery Seville Orange, tastes cheap for what it is, not worth the money

Favourite gin

My favourite gin. Tasted it at the ivy restaurant in London for the first time and drank it since then. Great with fevertree tonic.

Love it, great marmalade taste but not sweet or syrupy.

Really enjoyed this gin can be drunk neat with lots of ice or with tonic. Flavoured tonics I found do not suit this drink. A wonderful summer tipple

Mrs Jane Dixon

Just been given my first bottle of this for my birthday. I was not quiet sure what to expect, but wow what a fantastic surprise! I absolutely love it and have tried it neat, and with various mixers. Some advice from the makers would be good on their suggested way to drink?

Chase Seville Gin

Loved this gin. As good as their Maramalade vodka, it tastes great on its own over ice, or in orange-flavoured cocktails. Smooth and very tasty!
