Chase Seville Orange Gin Bottling Note

Chase are based in Herefordshire and produce a variety of gins and vodkas using a spirit distilled from potatoes. Unsurprisingly this bottle of gin has a fairly hefty whack of zesty Seville Oranges thanks to a re-distillation through the zest of these citrus fruits.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Well Seville oranges feature pretty heavily without disguising the other aromas of juniper, earthy roots and a gentle herbaceous quality.

Palate: A palate tingling burst of Seville Orange skin followed by floral juniper then fresh squeezed orange juice.

Finish: The finish is long for a gin with the notes of orange oils lingering after the other botanicals fade away.

Overall: This is a curious gin that is incredibly refreshing thanks to those big citrus top notes.

Chase Seville Marmalade Gin Reviews

Not impressed, lacking in depth of flavour, tasted artificial to me

Seriously...I found the "orange" vague and the botanicals of the gin questionable. Prefer by a country mile Tanqueray flor de sevilla within the "orange flavoured gin genre" the botanicals and the juniper especially sings out to you.

Brilliant

It’s too nice it disappears in no time. It’s the best, I love it.

Not worth the hype sadly

I was a little disappointed in the flavour of this gin. I was expecting more citrus to hit my tastebuds, however this didn’t cut the mustard.

Not worth the money

No where near as good as the Tanquery Seville Orange, tastes cheap for what it is, not worth the money

Favourite gin

My favourite gin. Tasted it at the ivy restaurant in London for the first time and drank it since then. Great with fevertree tonic.
