Willem Barentsz
Named after Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz, this is a gin made with juniper, jasmine, coriander seed, angelica, orange, almond, liquorice, cassia and orris root. It was created by Michael Claessens in 2014.
Sweet and rounded with floral juniper and touches of marmalade.
I can highly recommend it. The Juniper is present but not overpowering. I confess that I can't describe any alcoholic drink as the professionals do, but I like this gin and that all that matters to me. My best recommendation is that it's definitely worth trying, the chance of you hating it is very minimal.
I’m a fan although tbh I’m kind of in gin overload atm. It’s actually super smooth and really easy going down. Have taken to keeping it in freezer next to vodka and drinking as a shot. Weird but it works
Fantastic Christmas present after taking a liking to it amongst Soho House venues. Very happy to have a bit of luxury at home!
