While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

Unbelievably sweet. Far too much. Not for me.
I loved this gin now trying blood orange
Dreadful sickly sweet aberration; synthetic flavourings a million miles away from real rhubarb and ginger. Useful to clear drains but that's about all.
Like sherbet: unpleasant
Beautiful gin, quite sweet but very delicious
