Whitley Neill Quince Gin Bottling Note

A variation on the classic Whitley Neill Gin recipe, featuring a hearty helping of quince juice at its core. Smashing in a G&T.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Amongst a fruit-tastic salvo of citrus zest, apricot yoghurt and ripe nectarines there’s earthy juniper, a hint of leather and a touch of exotic spice.

Palate: A very sweet, quite syrupy texture reveals notes of juicy citrus, warming ginger, hints of juniper and unmistakable quince. There’s plenty of fleshy pear and peach in there too.

Finish: A note of thick-cut Seville orange marmalade lingers with a little zesty grapefruit.

Overall: One of the best flavoured-gins around - beautifully balanced and stunning with elderflower tonic and a slice of orange.

Whitley Neill Quince Gin Reviews

VERY FRUITY !!!!

Loved this gin as a occasional/rare drink. Strong fruity flavours arrive straight away. It may be too sweet for some.

Get in the sea.

I really cannot emphasise just how much a waste of time, brain cells and liver functioning this is. It literally tastes like licking a detol scrubbed toilet seat - ridiculous chemically and abrasive. Not a hint of quince. Totally unsophisticated and absolutely vile. You are better off pouring white spirit into your eye and putting a match to it

Really liked it

Absolutely fabulous

Way too sweet

I was given this as a gift - lovely thought but much too sweet and too far away from what I think of as gin - more like a liqueur... yuk! I’ve tried with various quality tonics and slices of different citrus fruits but can’t find a combo that works for me. Give me a good old dry gin any day of the week.

One of the better Whitley Neil’s by miles

Lush! Fairly sweet for a gin but definitely a gin, it delicious either with or without tonic and beats some of the other Whitley Neil variety’s that are insipid and like pop mixed with tonic, personally I would leave the blood orange or raspberry versions and go for this every time

Amazing if your after something sweet

Very sweet, but a very lovely change from most gins, especially if you are having a few

Very Surprised!

Was hesitant to try as i am only just starting to explore the world of gin outside supermarket shelves, but when a couple bottles of this showed up at the restaurant i work at i thought id give it a go. My new favourite! Had to order a bottle right away, absolutely perfect with an elderflower tonic. Look foward to cracking open my own bottle!

Fruity, thick, tart... so to speak.

Quite a thick and over-sweet gin, tart initial taste (made my ears laugh, as my dad would say) but I can't say I'd buy it again.
Their rhubarb and ginger option is better.

My favourite

This is a really lovely flavoured gin. Perfect me time drink, or if I decide to be nice and share

Perfect

Love it! This is my absolute favourite gin. Tried most gins out there from dry to sloe and this is without doubt top of my table.

Quince gin

Love the quince gin and may buy the quince flavored one but would like to know the difference between them first. Ps must used a decent tonic and have it ice cold in my opinion.
