Marberg Gin

Marberg Gin hails all the way from Iceland, produced at the Thoran Distillery. Its botanical list is fairly traditional, with black pepper and grapefruit among the selection, aside from the addition of red seaweed (commonly known as Dulse), an Icelandic botanical. Among the citrus there's a wonderful umami note, giving it a unique flavour profile. Give this one a go in a Tom Collins, accompanied with a twist of grapefruit peel.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Peppery juniper leads into lively citrus, with an earthy floral note and slightly salty, savoury seaweed appearing towards the finish.

Different and nice!
Great gin and I had the pleasure of visiting the distillery. Really nice!

Well crafted and layered
For someone not a fan of Icelands love of all things seaweed I am a fan of this London Dry! It blends well in cocktails, makes for a great G&T and yet soft enough to stand alone chilled or on ice

A fresh breeze
Visited the distiller in Reykjavík, Iceland and after a great introduction to the production and philosophy behind the brand I must say, not only is this a very interesting and enjoyable spirit but it holds it's own against all the top brands in this market.

Highly recommended!

New Favourite!
A real standout in the over-saturated gin market! Beautifully fresh and smooth, am enjoying drinking it neat or as a classic G&T.

Was lucky enough to visit the distiller in Reykjavik, great education on the sprit and they also provided great signature cocktails which I'm eager to try out at home!

Excellent gin!
Really good gin that drinks nicely with my favorite mixers or on ice. My favorite Icelandic spirit.

Great gin.
Tried the Marberg gin in Reykjavík. A very good experience. Both on its own and mixed in one the drinks made by the producer. Smooth, fresh and good. I definitly recommend it.

Citrusy with a subtle hint of salt, I like it!
I bought this during my layover in Iceland this past month. I am an avid gin drinker and I can say that this one was a pleasant surprise. The seaweed is a great touch and its inclusion helps Marberg to have its own identity in the gin market.
