When Liverpudlians visited the Wirral in Edwardian times, they often referred to the area as the 'dark side' of the Mersey. The locals, in turn, would call these daytrippers 'nose baggers'! Tappers Darkside Gin harks back to this bygone era, whilst also using a selection of botanicals that reflects the seaside location and character of the towns and villages of the Wirral, including red clover, chickweed and sea beet.
Nose: Savoury, coastal, almost smoky! A few fresh floral notes drift around in the background.
Palate: Coastal elements continue, now paired with leafy clover and liquorice.
Finish: Drying juniper, samphire and basil.
