Tanqueray Blackcurrant Bottling Note

A juicy, flavoursome gin from Tanqueray, built around the brilliance of blackcurrant! Inspired by Charles Tanqueray's journeys to France, this expression features four of Tanqueray's classic botanicals, alongside French blackcurrants, vanilla, and black orchid. The result is bursting with berry notes, though balanced by the floral wafts, creamy richness, and herbaceous spice. We reckon this will go rather well in a G&T with plenty of fresh berries thrown in as garnish, though it should also do handsomely in a twist on a Kir Royale, or perhaps a Bramble.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Juicy blackcurrant and a smidge of raspberry brightness, with whiffs of vanilla blossom developing alongside earthy juniper spiciness.

Reviews for Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale Gin
Flavorful and sweet
Nice color, nice flavor and pretty sweet. I found this to be an good thing. Just sparkling water, ice, and drop of lemon juice.

Nirvana.
Wonderful gin. Gorgeous taste of blackcurrants, not sweet, just flavoursome. Pleasant hint of vanilla aftertaste.
I use a couple of frozen strawberries instead of ice cubes, this gin does not deserve to be diluted, then have chilled London Essence original tonic/regular tonic on a 50:50 ratio. Don’t drown it with tonic, either! Add a sprig of bruised mint and the senses are in for a treat.
Diet tonic with artificial sweeteners leave a bitter aftertaste in my experience, so don’t risk using them with this gin.
Same applies for the wonderful rangpur and seville Tanquerays too.

Delicious
Well I am sure there are many out there who are snobs about flavoured gin, but if you're going to do it - this is how you do it! Tanqueray Sevilla and Rangpur are excellent and this is equally so. We'll done Tanqueray, you have managed to make a fruity gin not sickly or cloying as some cheaper brands can be. Delicious
