Country English Gin

St. Ives Gin

A blend of 13 botanicals gathered from the Cornish coastline, cottage gardens and clifftops create Cornwall's first small-batch cold compound gin. The beautiful pastel image of the local area on the bottle demonstrates the passion the brothers behind St. Ives Gin have for Cornwall and the inspiration worked well, because this a quite delicious gin.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Among smooth vanilla and tart orange peel there's aromatic touches of basil and cardamom and a clean, fresh sea breeze.

Palate Sweet vanilla and menthol thyme help to temper the smoky Cornish seaweed so it doesn't overpower. Pink peppercorns and liquorice bring warming spice.

Finish Lingering citrus elements and a pinch of coriander

Reviews for St. Ives Gin
Lovely, tasty gin
As noted below, has a yellow colour which, to my mind, adds to the charm of a really tasty gin; in my top 5!

My all time number 1
Best gin bar none! Such a subtle taste with an aftertaste long lasting true to the botanicals used. My favourite gin, reminds me of holidays by the beautiful St Ives bay where I first discovered this lovely gin, have been ordering in multiple bottles ever since- never lasts long!

below average for the pricetag
Tarquins far better for the price, this has an unusual yellow colour coming from not being distilled., tasted a bit weird too!

Breaking traditions terrifically.
These guys have taken the “bathtub method” (correctly known as cold compound) to a whole new level. If you like traditional dry gins (ugh, boring) then this isn’t for you. This gin isn’t bitter at all, instead it showcases the flavours of locally foraged botanicals (like the gorseflower that gives its golden hue). The juniper is still there, but the days of samey citrus/juniper gins are numbered - and these guys are the instigators.

Top notch.

A new staple
This gin is amazing, has a "chewy" mouthfeel and flavour is unique in a good way. Brought some back from holiday but now ordering replacement bottles and as gifts for friends.

Overpriced
So expensive, especially as its just a bathtub gin

Something a bit different but delicious!
Absolutely love this gin. Something a bit different from the normal London dry offering. The subtle use of juniper really highlights the fantastic fresh botanicals used. One of our favourites - a must try for any gin lover!

Not a gin
Terribble. It's just cheap polish vodka with a few herbs in. Not really a gin at all.
