Country English Gin
Distillery/Brand Sacred Spirits Company

Sacred Cardamom Gin

To create their Cardamom Gin, the distillers at Sacred in Highgate steep green Guatemalan Cardamom pods in English grain spirit, which is then re-distilled. As you can imagine, the intense, spicy notes of cardamom come to the fore, with classic juniper notes supporting it.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Aromatic with earthy spice and black tea, with some bright, almost oaky heat backing it up.

Palate Yep, plenty of spicy cardamom here, with hints of juniper and leafy coriander in support.

Finish Continued cardamom fragrance, plus a subtle sweetness developing.

Reviews for Sacred Cardamom Gin
Sacred Cardamom Gin-simply the best!
My son bought me a selection of ‘dram’ gins for Christmas, all good, but this one stood out, I have tried many gins in my life but this one is simply the best!!!

For Genuine Cardamom Lovers
As another reviewer has said, cardamom is uppermost in in the flavour notes, if you don't love cardamom this gin may not be for you. I found it very dry and in need of a touch of sweetness to balance it. When I tried it first with London Essence Rhubarb and Cardamom soda the cardamom was just too dominant. I then tried it with Fentimans Rhubarb tonic water and a dash of Fee Brothers Rhubarb bitters and it instantly became one of my favourite aperitifs.

Perfect
It’s the best gin I’ve ever tasted - neat, on the rocks or with tonic and a slice of lime

Delicious and successful
This gin has a soft mouth feel and is at the sweeter end of the dry gin spectrum ( to be a clear, it is NOT a sweet gin ). It has a very pronounced and clear taste of cardamom ie. It succeeds in setting out to do what it says on the bottle. As the cardamom taste remains subtle, I would tend to drink this neat on ice, or mix it with a more neutral tonic ( maybe with lime ) or make a delicious martini with a lighter style vermouth with herbal notes ( like a Chambery vermouth ) that will not overwhelm the delicate cardamom notes.

Unusual Cocktails
A very subtle tasting gin, completely different in taste to the run-of-the-mill gins which have flooded the market recently.Makes an unusual Martini with a5 mils each of Creme de Rose and Creme de Violette.

This makes everything better
This is one of the best tasting gins I've ever tried. Was slightly suspicious but eventually ridiculously pleased that I bought this. The cardamom flavour is by far the strongest note of a really gorgeous tasting gin that I tend to either drink on ice, with soda, or use as a replacement for 'normal' flavoured gins in cocktailes.
