Pickering's "at the old Royal Dick" gin bottled and 57.1% - the official gin of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (hence the bearskin).
The previous navy strength bottling was 57.0% abv, as they say: "Still fluffy, now 0.1% stronger."
Huge waves of fresh juniper and dried peels. Incredibly vibrant. Slightly vegetal - sugar snap peas?
Fragrant mandarin and rich, earthy orris. The bumped-up ABV brings exotic spiciness to the fore after a few sips.
Liquorice root, black pepper and a touch of cumin powder.

This gin makes a stonkingly good G&T. Given the strength, I poured a smaller measure than usual, and had it with London Essence tonic. The botanicals really came through. It was very flavourful and really really smooth.
Great gin so smooth for strength, lovely liquorice taste at the end
We had a gin and tonic in downtown Edinburgh, it was so smooth and easy going down
