Brecon Botanicals Gin is a tasty Welsh gin made at the Penderyn distillery. It is based on pure grain spirit and a special selection of botanicals. The illustrations were specially engraved and re-produced for this special edition. Very interesting stuff.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Soft juniper and dried herbs on the nose. A little citrus - orange and lemon peel, with hints of saffron.

Palate Herbal palate, with earthy juniper and Eastern spices. A touch of bergamot, clove oil and cinnamon.

Finish Cassia bark and saffron on the tail.

lOVE THE GIN but their whisky is shite!
The Brecon botanicals is refreshing, lightly spiced, beautiful bouquet and a bold finish. Paired with a dry tonic and a rosemary branch its a great apertif. Pity Pendery can't transfer their gin making to their absolutely god awful whiskey range, which I wouldn't even serve to a German on V.E Day

Too good to mix
This is an outstanding mid-priced gin. Lots of flavour (I got citrus and coriander coming through strongly) but also very smooth. Certainly good enough to be enjoyed neat.

Well worth it!
Totally agree with the reviews here, this a great gin at a very good price. Taste wise the bergamot is very evident, if you like your orange leaning gins, this is a great example, comes with a lovely warm/glow aftertaste. Mix with orange/blood orange if you can, and add a pinch of cinnamon, basic tonics work fine. The bottle will be finished in no time!
