Behold, a navy strength expression from Papillon Gin, dubbed The Admiral! It boasts 18 botanicals including gorse, hawthorn, rowan berries, chamomile, navelwort and nettle. You may have thought the gin was merely named as such to keep the maritime theme, though it's also named after the Red Admiral butterfly which feeds on Dartmoor nettles, with 1% from each bottle donated by the Dartmoor Distillery to a local butterfly conservation project.
A hit of citrus kicks things off, with waves of floral notes in support alongside aromatic cardamom and nutmeg. Greener notes of nettle appear on a clean finish.

Always buy and drink this gin in moretonhampstead. This gin has a distinct flavour and is absolutely great. Would highly recommended.
